I downloaded the older version from here and copied it to /var/cache/pacman/pkg/, then tried the following commands in CLI:

This didn't help much.

I may also have removed it from /var/lib/pacman/local.

In any case, I then opened Pamac and was able to run all pending updates.

I looked at the history in Pamac, and didn't see any interesting output related to accountsservice except:

[2019-05-04 18:57] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] e[1;1me[1;32m==>e[1;0me[1;1m adjusting file permissions for Accountsservice 0.6.55 ...e[1;0m

But I don't know if that means anything since two different versions are mentioned.

I also see this kind of message:

[2019-07-03 05:52] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] ldconfig: file /usr/lib/libaccountsservice.so.0 is truncated
[2019-07-03 05:52] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] ldconfig: file /usr/lib/libaccountsservice.so is truncated
