This didn't help much.
I may also have removed it from /var/lib/pacman/local.
In any case, I then opened Pamac and was able to run all pending updates.
I looked at the history in Pamac, and didn't see any interesting output related to accountsservice except:

But I don't know if that means anything since two different versions are mentioned.
